Bergen
Bergen is the second-largest city in Norway, a certified Sustainable Destination and known as the ‘heart of the fjords’ The UNESCO World Heritage site Bryggen, a Hanseatic wharf, is a glorious remnant from when Bergen was a key centre for trade between Norway and Europe. The summit of Fløyen is accessible via the Fløibanen funicular with stunning views over the city and surrounding fjords.

Nigardsbreen glacier hike
Join and explore the blue ice tours that Jostedalen Breførarlag offers on the Nigardsbreen glacier. Participate in a memorable hiking experience in a world of blue ice and high mountains. Here you can see how the glacier has shaped the landscape and hear about the dramatic story when the Nigardsbreen grew and took farmhouses with it. See how the glacier has retreated in recent years. All equipment is provided

Norwegian Glacier Museum
The Norwegian Glacier Museum & Ulltveit-Moe Climate Centre in Fjærland is an interactive museum about glaciers and climate in new and innovative ways. Take a walk below the glacier and do experiments with real glacier ice. The marvellous panoramic film about Jostedalsbreen National Park is shown every half hour on Europe’s largest seamless canvas.

Breheimsenteret
The interactive exhibition focuses especially on glaciers and climate in both Jostedalsbreen and Breheimen National Parks. The cinema takes you on a journey to the mighty glaciers through the seasons, from glacier hiking on the blue ice during summer to skiing on the plateau during winter.
