Haltia: Finnish Nature Centre

The Finnish Nature Centre, located close to Nuuksio National Park, is built entirely from wood and heated and cooled with energy derived from the sun and the earth.  Learn about its sustainable story on a private guided visit.  Tour can be extended to include a hike along  the surrounding forest trails.

Recycling the Finnish Way

The Helsinki Metropolitan Area Reuse Centre, Kierrätyskeskus, provides an alternative to single-use culture with unique, usable second hand items and environmentally-friendly consumer choices. The centre sells reusable household items and upcycled furniture, clothing and accessories. Annually around 60 000 children, adolescents, adults, communities and businesses learn about sustainability from their environment educators
